Spider Veins
Spider veins
are the most communal form of visible vein. The spider veins are really small
superficial veins, which are found in the outer layer of the skin between the
dermis and the epidermis, so you can see them. Spider veins or
spider veins are smaller than varicose veins. They are usually red. Tree
branches or cobwebs may appear. Spider veins do not cause the skin to swell
like varicose veins. Spider
veins appear when small veins collect beneath the surface of the skin,
causing red, blue or purple discoloration. Spider veins are named after the
discoloration form. Some of its cases can be quite small. Others are more
visible. Spider veins and varicose veins are very common in adults, although
women tend to develop them more often than men.
Symptoms of Spider Veins
Spider veins appear red or blue-violet, usually on the legs or thighs, but sometimes on the face, forearm or hands. Spider veins usually do not cause symptoms, but can rarely cause slightly boring discomfort or a burning sensation.
Causes of Spider Veins
Problems with the valves in the veins can prevent blood from flowing normally and causing varicose veins and spider veins. Your heart pumps blood and nutrients full of oxygen through the arteries to the whole body. The veins then carry blood from different parts of the body to the heart. Generally, your veins have valves that are used as one-way flaps. But if the valves do not close properly, the blood could flow back into the lower part of the vein, rather than going into the heart. Over time, more blood remains trapped in the vein, creating a pressure that weakens the vein walls.
How to Prevent Spider Veins?
Since the causes of spider veins are not completely understood, they cannot always be prevented. It is useful to maintain a healthy weight and keep fit.
If you have spider veins, you can
help avoid developing more, without standing or crossing your legs for long
periods of time and wearing stockings.
Treatment for Spider Veins
Spider veins do not require treatment. In some people, support stockings can reduce the size of existing spider veins and help prevent new ones. The two of the most communal cosmetic treatments for spider veins are sclerotherapy and laser treatment
